More ATCs
I'm becoming a very lazy scrapper and have only managed to to make a few ATCs for swaps on the UKS.
For this one I used a cardmakers cat template for the outline and drew the paisley design freehand. Butterfly is stamped.
This one is doodled and coloured with Twinkling H2O's, which never photograph well.
These are a set of ten for the Botanicals swap. Distress inked background, stamped and butterflies embossed

Home to roost!
My CJ came home today and it's beautiful! This was my first time to take part in a circle and I was put to the test on a couple of occasions. I hope everyone else in the group is as pleased with theirs as I am with mine. The theme was colour and papercrafting techniques. I wanted to learn new things and I certainly did.
Cover: Mountboard covered with coloured tissue .White paint applied with a baby wipe. Distress ink on the edges and painted with picture varnish
My intro page featured a little quote which came as part of a card swap on UKS
My entry is a mixture of drawing, stamping, rub-ons, and a lot more besides
KathJ's Is a symphony of pink
JulieM chose blue and a stunning waterfall of blue names
Lainey's entry was a rich and sumptuous gold
Audrey's entry and one of my favourites was Orange
Littlebit pulled out all stops with a black and white fabric patchwork...and...... a folded minibook!
Thank you to everyone who contributed. I'll really treasure this CJ.
I'll bind it over the next few days and post the finished product

Some craftwork and other nice things....
I've been a bit busy for the past few days. My birthday was Sunday, and I awoke to these lovelies and a cuppa in bed. My friend Sandra brought me this gift when she came for a chat on Monday.
Kathy and Sinead treated me to a wonderfully relaxing lunch today, so I feel well and truly spoiled.
Here is the photo of the "new do"
.......and somewhere during my hectic social life, I made this little doodled ATC. I colured it with Twinkling H2O's but you can't really see the gorgeous shimmer in the photo.

All alone
The littlets have gone to Wexford as of yesterday (Thank you Mam and Dad!) so now the fun begins...........which room will I start on first! This is the only chance I get all year to scour the house and makeit clean again. Any of you that have little ones will know that to clean and tidy with a gang in the house is nearly impossible. It also means lots of scrapping time as a reward for being so industrious!!!!!!
Speaking of which, I experimented with my Cuttlebug folders today. I embossed a piece of blue funky foam but it didn't show up so well in a photo, so I inked it to highlight the embossed areas. Then I had a lightbulb moment, I sandwiched the inked foam between the B and C plates and put it back through the Bug. The results are a little rough as I did it very quickly to test the theory, but it has possibilities as background for ATCs to mention just one
Foam sheet inked up back and front

Criminal Behaviour
I had to appear in court today for not paying a parking fine. Suffice to say, I never want to repeat the experience. To hear a Judge utter the words "Do you plead guilty or not guilty" is most humbling. I got off by the way! More tomorrow.......

Reality check !
I had my hair done today and felt wonderful. It's a big deal in this house as the scissors and clippers come out a lot for quick fixes. I was going to post a piccie of the "new and improved me" but Hubby came in with the news that a friend had called with good news. This friend, Mark and his fiance, Claire, have been working in Nepal with an orphanage of 25 children. They fund raised before they left here and raised enough money to build showers for the orphanage. They also have paid for fresh fruit to be delivered for a year. You can see their work here. It puts my hairdo into perspective eh! If you can help, please do.If you're not in a position to help, you might as I did, stop and give thanks for what you and yours have, however small.
