Here is a little needlefelted bird which I finished last night. I embroidered around the wings and beak for definition.

New lo

I did this last night, inspired by Kathys use of crochet flowers! It's a photo taken nine years ago shortly after Saoirse was born and her first visit to Wexford. I usually use bright colours and strong shapes in my los, so this kind of took me by surprise as it developed. I crocheted the flowers months ago just to see if I could, but haven't had much use for them until now.

Playing with my Cuttlebug

I decided to make a few cards using the little free stamp which came with The Craft Stamper Magazine. I coloured the stamp usingWhispers brushmarkers and Sakura Jelly roll pens. They have a lovely sparkle which doesn't show up so well. The Backgrounds were made using my Cuttlebug embossing folders. They're pretty basic, but I liked the effect.

This one is a little OTT but I wanted an old fashioned romantic effect
I also made a minibook from a kit, which I bought from Rebeccas Scrapbooking Stash, a few months ago. Its for Jen as she loves quirky little peices of loveliness.

I haven't journalled in it yet as those thoughts are for her eyes only.

Crafting during storms

I still haven't figured out how to upload more than 5 pics at a time from Picasa, so here's part two.
To continue, I still haven't come up with a name for my gal, and I don't even know whether or not she's finished properly, but I'll check out some tutorials on youtube and see if I'm on the right track.

A little needlefelted atc

These are my swaps for the August atc swap on UKS,I hope my swappee likes them. I used distress ink on the background and a variety of image stamps with Stazon. The letter has been part coloured with brush markers

Back from the not so sunny Southeast!!!

Well we've had rain, rain, and a storm! This is the view of Clone Strand after it abated, wild was not the word for the sea, it was an amazing sight

Here are a few pics of Fairview last Saturday as we tried to make our way into town.

Sandra gave me a pressie of a needle felting kit, so I tried this little woman. I know she's a tad ugly..but she's my ugly and I like her!

Mean while....

Back at the ranch......or rather in Wexford, my two babies were growing up.

Thanks to my parents, my brother John, his wife Sandra, and my sister Karen who looked after these two so well and allowed us some space to just be us.

The older pair just had a ball without Mam and Dad around

And our Princess turned Twenty one Yesterday.....

I'll be back soon with some more catch up!

Finally....

Joey, shakin' her thang...or at least the tambourine!!!! Seriously though, she's TBones daughter and a really nice person. I was very happy to be in her company as she has a wonderfully sunny disposition.

The sunflowers which grew......

......at the back of this gorgeous house which a very generous man named Miles loaned to us while he was away in other foreign parts.Thank you Miles, it made our holiday!

I caught this lad in the living room
