More Atc's

I did these for a swap on UKS. I'm finding it difficult to take photos in the Winter light, but you get the idea. The stamps are Inkadoo

Hellooooo, I'm back!

Life got in the way of blogging and crafting!

I attended the Halloween Megascrap on Nov 1st at CityNorth Hotel, Co.Meath. Donna Downey presented her fabulous Paint, Watercolour, Doodle. mini-book class. I had a blast with this one and really enjoyed the mix of techniques. Who knew painting chipboard and acrylic could be such
fun!

Isn't it just the scrummiest minibook!

The other class a textured lo , Washday, was given by Anita Mundt . It involved crocheting a border through holes punched in chipboard and a sewn title. I love the variety of textures in this.

Work in progress

I bought a copy of The Craft Stamper last Friday. There is a lovely tutorial for a card holder which I adapted. It holds 12 cards and will make a nice pressie for someone for Christmas.

I've still to make the cards and finish the cover.

These are a set of Atc's I made for a swap

I stamped the images of the naked lady (I can't remember who made it)

Then I "dressed" her with candycane stickles

The backgound was inked with Fired Brick and Soot Distress inks.I stamped over this with Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink and stamp I made by sticking Foam swirl shapes to a piece of acetate.

Voila! My ten ladies!

New lo

I did this last night, inspired by Kathys use of crochet flowers! It's a photo taken nine years ago shortly after Saoirse was born and her first visit to Wexford. I usually use bright colours and strong shapes in my los, so this kind of took me by surprise as it developed. I crocheted the flowers months ago just to see if I could, but haven't had much use for them until now.

Playing with my Cuttlebug

I decided to make a few cards using the little free stamp which came with The Craft Stamper Magazine. I coloured the stamp usingWhispers brushmarkers and Sakura Jelly roll pens. They have a lovely sparkle which doesn't show up so well. The Backgrounds were made using my Cuttlebug embossing folders. They're pretty basic, but I liked the effect.

This one is a little OTT but I wanted an old fashioned romantic effect
I also made a minibook from a kit, which I bought from Rebeccas Scrapbooking Stash, a few months ago. Its for Jen as she loves quirky little peices of loveliness.

I haven't journalled in it yet as those thoughts are for her eyes only.
